The YMCA of Southern Nevada is a 501(c)(3) nonprofit organization dedicated to Youth Development, Healthy Living, and Social Responsibility. We provide a wide range of programs and services to meet the needs of our community. As a nonprofit and cause-driven organization, we rely on the support of volunteers to deliver a high-quality experience for all. Opportunities include assisting with events, lending a hand in youth sports, greeting fellow community members, or acting as a role model in camp or afterschool programming.

Together, we can strengthen Southern Nevada.
We welcome young adults as long as they’re 15 years of age or older.
The Y has both short term and long term volunteer opportunities available. Whether you can spare an afternoon, a summer or are ready to give back on a regular basis, the Y has something for you. All volunteer opportunities will be posted on our platform, Volunteer Matters.
The YMCA of Southern Nevada’s volunteer hours can fulfill service hours for school, university or work requirements. Court appointed volunteer hours cannot be completed at the Y.
All volunteers will be interviewed and complete a background and reference check before they can begin.
All volunteers are required to complete a virtual Youth Protection training. Additional training may be required depending on the position, with specific details outlined in each volunteer opportunity description.
