At the Y, there are no strangers, only friends you haven’t met yet. While you improve your health and mobility through our fitness programs, you’ll also make new friends and find opportunities to strengthen the social fabric of your community. The YMCA of Southern Nevada offers a wide range of activities for active older adults, including social events, field trips, workshops, team training for seniors, pickleball, low-impact fitness classes, and much more.

  • Social Activities

    Our Active Older Adult programming at the Y is full of excitement! Offerings include bingo, painting, crochet, coffee and cards, tech talks, walking clubs, mahjong, and more. There is something for everyone to enjoy!

  • Pickleball

    Pickleball at the YMCA is a fun, fast-growing sport that combines elements of tennis, badminton, and ping-pong. It’s played on a smaller court with a paddle and a plastic ball, making it easy to learn and perfect for all ages and skill levels. Whether you’re looking for a friendly match, a competitive game, or just a great way to stay active, the Y offers a welcoming environment to play, connect, and improve your skills. Come join the pickleball community at the Y and experience the fun, fitness, and friendships that make this game so popular! Free for members.

  • Field Trips

    Get on the bus and join the fun! We plan fun social excursions, including trips to wineries, dinner shows, nature trails, holiday events… You name it, we’ll take the bus there! Call or visit your local Y for details on the next upcoming Field Trip.

  • AOA Strong

    This small group program is geared toward our active older adult (AOA) population and covers the fundamentals of working out, warm-up, strength training, and recovery. With the guidance of a personal trainer, this program will teach the skills and knowledge needed for AOA’s to put together their own workouts so they can successfully work out on their own or continue to push themselves in this program. The program uses various types of equipment, such as machines, barbells, dumbbells, kettlebells, and more, along with various types of training appropriate for our AOA population.

  • Doc Talks and Workshops

    The Y is honored to partner with local medical professionals to offer a variety of workshops and seminars on various topics concerning your health. Past topics include heart health, memory loss, fall prevention, and much more. Visit or call your nearest Y to learn more about topics, dates, and times.

  • Senior Connections

    If you’re new to the Y, we invite you to get plugged in and get the low-down on all our offerings specially designed for seniors! Meet one-on-one with staff to introduce you to the amenities and additional services specifically catered to you. Log in to your YMCA account or visit the Y to book a Senior Connections appointment.
